HYB Awards 2018 Update

Nomination forms are now with your regional HYB Coordinators for the 2017 Littlestar & President’s Medal Awards.

THE LITTLESTAR AWARD

The Littlestar Award is presented to an HYB member under the age of 17 years who has made an outstanding contribution to HYB, the Holstein breed &, in particular, their own Club. The winner of this prestigious award receives the Littlestar Painting, which is presented during the prize giving at the All Breeds All Britain Calf Show.

THE PRESIDENT'S MEDAL

The Holstein UK President’s Medal is awarded to the HYB member who has made an outstanding contribution to the breed and their Club. This award is open to HYB members aged 23 - 26 years of age on 1st January 2017.
The ultimate winner of this coveted and prestigious title will receive an engraved President's Medal from the Holstein UK President, alongside a visit to the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto in November 2018, courtesy of Semex.

THE LOUISE HARTLEY AWARD

This year, we are also delighted to announce the launch of the brand new Louise Hartley Award, kindly sponsored by Alta Genetics in conjunction with the Hartley family & the Louise Hartley Memorial Fund. The lucky winner of this Award will be offered a choice of the following prizes:

- Alta Advantage Showcase Tour, America, which takes place in June

- Alta Advantage Tour, Europe, which takes place in September

- Dairy Manager School, UK, which takes place in both May & October

Alta Genetics are generously funding the prize, with the Louise Hartley Memorial Fund kindly covering the winner’s travel costs.
This Award is open to nominees aged 18 – 22 years of age on 1st January 2017. Please note, this means that the age of eligibility for the President’s Medal Award have been changed to 23 – 26 years of age on 1st January 2017.

We look forward to seeing who our very first Louise Hartley Award winner will be when it is announced on Sunday 15th October at this year’s All Breeds All Britain Calf Show!
