Holstein UK Awards
All Britain Awards
The All Britain Awards are a judgement of the quality of an animal which has been exhibited within the show ring at recognised shows or events during the year of competition.
Breeding Excellence Award
The Breeding Excellence Award was introduced in 2019 and is rewarded to Holstein members who have made an exceptional contribution to UK cattle breeding.
Distinguished Service Award
Holstein UK's Distinguished Service Award is eligible to members employees who have given 25 years continuous service involving not more than two employers or two pedigree herds.
Howard Sneesby Award
The Howard Sneesby Memorial Trophy is awarded at the National Holstein Show to the person who has made a significant difference to others through constant support and encouragement. The winner is chosen by the Holstein UK Show & Sale Committee.
Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented by the Holstein UK trustees to a person or persons who have given outstanding service or promotion to the Holstein and/or British Friesian breeds.
Lifetime Production Award
The Lifetime Production award measures how much milk an animal produces over its lifetime and takes into account natural lactations.
Master Breeder
Master Breeder rewards Holstein members whose herds achieve a high standard in both classification and production.
The Holstein UK Premier Breeder Award
The Holstein UK Premier Breeder Award is presented at UK Dairy Day to an individual who is excelling and at the forefront of breeding and showmanship, as recognised at the National Holstein Show.
The Holstein UK Premier Exhibitor Award
The Holstein UK Premier Exhibitor Award is presented at UK Dairy Day to the Holstein exhibitor that has gained the most points throughout The National Holstein Show.
Premier Herd Award
The Holstein UK Premier Herd Award is designed to reward herds achieving the best breeding status.
Star Brood Award
The Star Brood Award recognises the impact that cows can have within an individual herd as well as the national herd. Points are awarded to each cow based on the achievements of her progeny.
Superior Production (SP) Award
The Superior Production award can only be awarded once in an animal’s lifetime. This is an award for the quality of the lactation and looks at how much fat and protein is in the milk.
Holstein Young Breeder Awards
Dick Stapleton Award
The Dick Stapleton Award is presented at the All Breeds All Britain Calf Show to a young breeder, from any breed, who is recognised by the ABAB Team for being extremely helpful and always going above and beyond when contributing to their Club and breed.
Littlestar Award
The Littlestar Award is presented to an HYB member aged 17 or under who has made an outstanding contribution to HYB, the Holstein breed &, in particular, their own Club.
The Louise Hartley Award
The Journal is Holstein UK's membership magazine and reports on current issues, news, events and Society updates.
President's Medal
The Holstein UK President’s Medal is awarded to the HYB member who has made an outstanding contribution to the breed and their Club..
