President and Trustee's Election

The election process has started for a Holstein UK President for 2020/21 to succeed Bryan Thomas who takes over the prestigious role from Peter Waring at the Holstein UK AGM in June 2019.

All Club Secretaries have been informed and if you wish to nominate one or more individuals to stand for President, please contact your Club Secretary for a nomination form.

We also have vacancies arising from June 2019 in the following regions - East Midlands, North Western and Lancashire. The Far Western and North Midlands regions are also open for election or re-election. Please contact your Club Secretary or Zoe Hargrave (Head of HR) for further details.

Please note that the duties of a Tustee, as outlined by the Charity Commission, include:
• Being responsible for the governance of the Society
• Setting strategy and policy
• Setting values and standards
• Reviewing the performance of management
• Exercising financial control, setting budgets and ensuring proper records and accounts are kept
• Appointing and removing executive officers
• Being a member of at least one sub-committee
• Representing the membership in their designated area
• Attending the Holstein UK AGM & Celebration, in addition to four two-day meetings at the Holstein UK Head Office as scheduled throughout the year.
