Edition 2 - 2023 - Derbyshire

In January we welcomed David and Dan Lievesley from DJL Agriculture which was started 7 years ago looking more into sustainable farming. David says calcium is one of the main things needed on the farm and it is very important that soil is tested regular and to act on the results that come back. Herbal systems are more common now to replace the use of Soya in the cow’s diet.

February saw Mr Peter Marshall from Overseal Holsteins travelling around Derbyshire to judge our Winter Herd competition, results will be announced at our stock judging day.
