Edition 3 - 2023 - Derbyshire

It has been a busy time for the Derbyshire Holstein Club. The first stock judging day on 30th April was hosted by Mr Richard Godber at Knowlepark Farm. The three classes were judged by Alan Smith from the Bumblebee Herd.

The second stock judging day on 14th May was hosted by the Cotton Family at Blakeley Farm. The Three Classes were judged by Ed Seaton.

There have also been some fundraising evenings in preparation for hosting the Weekend Rally in 2025. The first of which was an Easter Bingo night on 31st March which had a large turnout of people, and a laugh was had by all, the event managed to raise the grand total of £450! Another fundraising event was a duck race hosted by the Easom Family at Furnace Farm. This was a fun but chilly evening, the younger members certainly found it fun and provided a good laugh for the adults too, over £900 was raised. The winners of the first 5 races won a bar of chocolate:

Race 3 – Simon Little

Race 4 – Darren Shepherd

Race 5 – Richard Scott

The first ten winning ducks from the above races then went into the Championship Race, the three overall winners were:

1st – Ed Flower won £100

2nd – Shane Lees won £50

3rd – Karen Mycock won £25
