Lanarkshire Holstein Club - Winter Herds Competition

A fantastic two days visiting 15 herds seen our judge, Mr Brian Davidson (Errolston) certainly having his work cut out after seeing so many tremendous cows & heifers around the club area.

 

Best individual heifer (winning the Grangehall Cup)

1st - Boclair Lambda Joan (Smith, Greentowers)

2nd - Lesmay Dalliance Patent (Weatherup, Parkend)

3rd - Langside Princess 126 (Gray, Langside)

4th - Blythbridge Lambda Georgina (Laird, Blyth)

5th - Dewshill Soundsystem (Waddell, Dewshill)

 

Best individual cow (winning the Lawrie & Symington Rosebowl)

1st - Grangehall Pepper Whiterose (Lawrie, Grangehall)

2nd - Cauldcoats Dalliance Camilla (Laird, Murrays)

3rd - Overside Rhapid Renee (Neilson, Brackenridge)

4th - Westerdal Brody Jazz (Dalling, Westertoun)

5th - Letterickhills Mirror Crystal (Boyd, Letterickhills)

 

Best mammary

Also to our judge Brian Davidson, & driver Ewan Lawrie. A big thanks to the Baillie & Weatherup families for feeding us over the two days, & to everyone who followed the convoy to support the competitors! Also to Annie Bryson who went around the herds both days videoing and photographing for the prize-giving and presentation which was held in new venue, The Elphinstone Hotel, Biggar where some 35 members and friends attended.
