Annual AGM

A great evening was had in the company of the famous Nigel Owens, International referee, Pedigree Hereford Breeder and Entertainer. Nigel gave us an interesting talk and an insight into his life. I think everyone agreed, we could have listen to him for much longer.

Show & Sale

High quality of animals were forward for the club’s show & sale on Tuesday 3rd May held at Whitland market. Many thanks go to JJ Morris Auctioneers for sponsoring the prize money. Also thanks go to the judge Mrs G Rees-Harries, King Herriot Farm Solva, Pembrokeshire.

Champion animal was the 1st placed senior heifer Maesymorfa Secretariat Noreen from Lewis Fronun Holsteins and sold for £2,300 to the judge.

Reserve champion was the 1st placed cow BB Supersire Janoma from Baker BB Holsteins, sold for £2,600 to the judge. Thanks to all vendors and buyers for supporting.

 

Stockjudging & Open day at Abertegan Farm, TEGAN Holsteins

The day was greatly supported by our members, old and new, and by neighbours of Abertegan Farm with over 120 people attending.

The biggest thank you goes to Andrew Davies TEGAN Holsteins and the family for the time and effort they put in for the stock judging, and for opening up their farm to the visitors.

A big thank you also has to go out to all the sponsors and the two judges of the stockjudging Arwyn Wilson OAKVIEW & Iwan Morgan ERIE, and Meurig James Head of Breed Development for the Linear competition.
